Welcome to the Sacramento Valley Women's Soccer League (SVWSL). Some of this information may not pertain to you, but it may help me help you to find a team. Teams are always looking for players and can add players throughout the season.

The SVWSL has the following divisions.

Per changes to the SVWSL Bylaws and Rules at the 2026 Annual General Meeting the SVWSL class of membership has changed to women 18 and older.

Open Division
Division O30
Division O40
Division O50
Division O60

We presently have about 25 teams. Our fall season begins the first Sunday after Labor Day, and continues to just before Thanksgiving. The first weekend in December (or last weekend in November) we hold a small end-of-the season indoor tournament. Our outdoor season resumes after the Christmas holidays and finishes in May with our annual fundraiser Valley Cup Outdoor Tournament.

We play primarily at Cherry Island on Sunday mornings at either 9 am, 11 am or a 1 pm game. Cherry Island is located in the north Sacramento area at 28th St. and U St. When Cherry Island is not available we play at fields ranging from Orangevale to Natomas.

Each player must have a player's pass. The player pass is renewed annually and is good from August 1 to July 31. Cost is $25 per player. Team fees are determined by the team managers each season. Team fees pay for fields and referees.

Most teams do not practice nor do they have tryouts.

League rules state that all team members must have matching uniforms with numbers, but it is up to the team to decide what that uniform will be and its cost.

Now that you know all about us, I need to know something about you. Are you looking for a competitive team, a somewhat competitive team, a recreational team, or an over-30 team? What position or positions do you play?

Once you submit your information, you will be placed on the Free Agent List. Managers will contact you if they have an opening on their team.
